Chrome By The Lake Saturday June 25th Water Street in Port Perry will be filled with nostalgia buffs checking out this celebration of vintage and custom cruisers from the 1920's to the 1980's. starting at 8:00am. A little something for everyone with automotive vendors, food, music, and draws for some prizes. and for the Mom's not into the cars, while dads checking out the cars, you can check out the farmers market at Palmer Park or shop the speciality shops close by. This is the 6th annual Chrome By The Lake Car Show And Shine sponsored by Vos' Independent Grocer and The great Blue Heron Charity Casino and the Scugog Standard - all profits to support the work at the Scugog Shores Historical Museum |

True chrome is hard to find these days unless you're driving on of these old cars. Sounds like a lot of fun.

I'll be that's going to be a fun event! I really love chrome and I wish it would come back. It would make men stay home more and polish their chrome!
Today's plastic bumpers pale in comparison!

Patricia - there was a time when polishing the family car was something almost everyone did on a regular basis now with clear coat finishes and modern car washes even the kids doing fundraiser car washes sometimes have little to do.

Brian - indeed ..... Barrie found a web site that lists the car shows/cruses so I am sure we will get to several throughout the summer time permtting.
Is chrome by the lake good for the chrome. I know our salty air by the beaches isn't.
